On Sunday, the fashion world was shocked by the death of legendary designer Virgil Abloh, who died at the age of 41 after a long battle with cancer. Virgil, the artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear and CEO of Off-White, worked closely with the Hadid sisters over the past few years, and he was known as a close friend of them. Both Gigi and Bella honored Abloh in touching tributes following the announcement from his official Instagram account. Today, Bella showed off one of Abloh’s most iconic sneaker designs: the Off-White™ Air Jordan 1 (they were specially customized for her). Virgil will be remembered as a champion of young designers, a forward-thinker and a pioneer in bringing streetwear into luxury fashion. ?
